Rules General
No swearing or any foul language No gory pictures, inappropriate pictures or pornographic pictures. And I mean NONE. Not in avatars, not in sigs, no where. No Powerplaying (also called god modeling or god moding). If you don't know what powerplaying is, it is when you say another person's charrie does or says something and they never said it. ie: Kellie's post: Kellie walked in. "Hi Geronimo!" Geronimo's post: Geronimo said, "Hi Kellie." Kellie said, "Hi" Geronimo said, "Shall we go for a walk?" Kellie's post: "Sure" Geronimo's post: Geronimo took off trotting. Kellie followed him at a canter, they went out of the land and kept going. Did you notice how Geronimo was saying that Kellie did and said things that Kellie didn't post. That is power playing. Please try to use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. i have nothing against people who genuinely have no spelling ability, but at least use the spell checker or something. When you're character is talking, use some sort of quote mark, such as "", '', or bold/italics. Similarly, when you're talking out of character, (this doesn't apply in the general category, cuz that's all OOC boards) be sure to use either double parentheses, or brackets so that people know you're talking in OOC. If you're going away for a while, please post a message in the General Board so that somebody can RP your characters and your account won't get deleted. One thing that gets REALLY annoying is mixing up your and you're. You're is like you are, as in You're a horse, and your is as in That is your computer.
Horses
General Horse Guidelines You can make your horse any age, height, coloring, breed etc, but please keep it real. Like no pink spotted, 80hh unicorns, okay? No unicorns! Once in a blue moon, a unicorn foal will be born to normal parents. I will tell you if your foal is a unicorn. No magical powers. None. With the acception of unicorn foals, there are no other mythical creatures (ie: Pegasus, etc.)
Stallions There is no force breeding allowed unless you are a dark. You are not allowed in Seagrass Island except for Once in a Blue Moon's Cove and the beach that leads to it. You can't adopt foals without permission from Moondancer. You are considered a stallion at age 3 though you may wander alone by age 1. Stallions may have as many mares as they wish. You may steal mares. You may force claim mares but only if you are a Dark.
Mares You may adopt foals. You are not allowed in the Mountains. You are considered a mare at age 4 though you may wander alone by age 1. The lead mare is more important than any other of the mares in that herd. The lead mare is the first mare that the lead stallion claims. If there is a fight for a mare, the mare has no choice in who she goes with - she must go with the winner of the fight. If you are stolen you must go with the one who stole you.
Foals Colts are not allowed in Cove until they are a year old. Colts are allowed in the Island until they are 1 year old, then they can go to the Cove. Fillies are never allowed in the Mountains. FOALS CAN TALK IMMEDIATELY AFTER BIRTH.
Breeding Keep breeding short and simple with hardly any detail. The same applies to foaling.
Fighting How many posts you can each make is decided by the two players who are fighting. If you want me to judge it message me. Don't be gross and don't powerplay. If the player that posts first comes there waiting for the challenger and the challenger does not reply after 7 days the player that had posted first wins automatically. However if that player has posted a message saying that they will be away for a while then that fight doesn't count and it can wait until the player is back. If you do not reply then your land/mare position is forfeit. All the normal fighting rules apply.
Herds Each stallion can only have one herd. Only stallions can claim land. Any one horse cannot belong to more than one herd. The lead mare and the lead stallion are in charge of their herd. They also decide who can join the herd and what their position will be. The first mare the lead stallion claims becomes his lead mare. There can be as many mares and stallions as you want in each herd. To claim a terra for your herd the lead stallion must post a message on that terra saying that they have claimed it. I will tell you if you can have that terra.
